Email support@ownerkit.com.au and you will get a reply, usually within a day or two. It helps to say which phone you are on and what you were doing when it went wrong.

Getting started

On first open, pick the setup closest to your work and put in your business or household name. Add your first record from any of the quick add buttons on the home screen. Every field except the name is optional, so put in what you have and come back to the rest.

How the reminders work

Any date field that matters shows on the home screen as overdue, due soon or coming up. You get a notification 30 days before, 7 days before and on the morning of the due date. If the app asks for notification permission, say yes, or reminders can only appear when you open the app.

Adding your dates to your calendar

Data and settings, then "Add to my calendar". Pick which calendar to use and every due date goes in with alerts a week before and on the day. Google and Outlook calendars appear in that list if those accounts are set up on your phone. Change a date in Ownerkit and the event moves. Delete a record and its events go.

Sharing with the office

This puts your records in a Google Sheet you own, so the office can see and edit the same list, and every phone with the link shares the data. The full step by step is inside the app: Data and settings, then "How to set up the Google Sheet". It takes about ten minutes and is easiest on a computer or iPad. The app has a button that copies the script for you.

Once it is running, the office can edit cells and add rows straight in the sheet and the phones pick it up on the next sync. Leave the ID and Updated columns alone. Deleting a row in the sheet deletes that record from the phones.

Getting everything into a spreadsheet

Data and settings, then Excel export. You get one file with a tab per section plus a reminders tab. You can edit it and import it back in, and records are matched on the ID column.

Changing the sections and fields

Data and settings, then "Make my own version of this". You can add, rename, reorder and remove sections, add fields of any type, and put a reminder on any date field. Records you have already entered are kept, even if you remove the section they were in.

Moving to a new phone

Data and settings, then Backup, which saves a file with your records and attachments. Email or AirDrop it to yourself, install Ownerkit on the new phone, then use Restore. If you have office sharing set up, putting the same link and key in the new phone brings the records down instead.
